Wow. That was a crazy one.

We come into the 3rd week of pool play with zero wins. We need a win in regulation to move into the playoffs next week. The team was hyped up with a little pre game speech that was sent to them by a 4 time Stanley Cup winner, and we were ready to go!

This is how hyped the team was. Bordeau comes back from broken ribs early just to help his team when they needed it. And not only that, Collaruso's wife was induced into labor earlier in the day. The baby hadn't been born by game time, so Collarusso was at the game ready to play.

Rosen gets things started with a nice goal to take the lead in the first. But late in the first. The Marauders tie it up. 

Then it was back and forth for the next 2 periods, with both teams playing hard and fast, and both goalies playing well. Caldwell made some crazy circus saves to keep us in it. But then in the 3rd, the Marauders get a goal to go up by one. 

It's looking dire, but we're not ready to quit.

Down by one, with 2:44 left in the third, we get a power play. We keep the puck in their end, and with thean advantage, at the 1:44 mark, Rosen ties it up! 

But we need a win IN REGULATION to move on. A tie won't help us. 

So we win the face off, and immediately pull the goalie. There's a face off in the Marauders zone, and after a mad scramble in front of the net, Collarusso gets the game winning goal! What a story he's gonna have to tell that kid when it's born. 

Bordeau gets rewarded for coming back early with an empty netter, and we survive to play next week! 

I'm really proud of how this team didn't give up when facing elimination. This is a good group of guys.
