The boys piled out of the van today, donning their Home reds, hoping to secure our ticket into the next round.  The results of Monday's games have us needing to do some work to lock up our spot.  The pregame message was clear...Edsels are a heavily defensive team we need to get up early and have them chase. I must have given my speech to the wrong locker room, cause we did not do that. In my defense, the Edsels' sexy looking away jerseys are red and white like ours, so it was an honest mistake. We find ourselves down two goals, 5 minutes into the game. 

I'll be honest...I was in full panic mode.  Chet, cool as the other side of the pillow though, digs out some trash in front of the Edsels goal to pull within 1, and we tie it up late in the 1st. 

Boys didn't look back from there as Chet, Easton, and our newly acquired sub Aaron Davis went on a tear. We popped 8 goals in the final two periods to the Edsels 3. Walking away with a 10-5 victory.  

Hell of a game from the boys.  Chet with a 7pt night collecting the hat trick and playmaker patch.  Davis collects his hat-trick patch and then some with a 5 goal night.  Easton with a solid 4-point night as well.  Overall, great team effort.  Things were looking grim there early on, Edsels showed no quit, even though they were eliminated before the game started.  I heard fellow FHLers were praying to Hockey Jesus for an Edsels victory before the game.  Thankfully, I didn't miss the collection box this week. 

Aerostars move on to the elimination round as the boys meet up with the Fiestas in our 4th match of the year.
