Bullitts Game Write Up:

Well, what a wild one.  Bullitts come off of their bye week ready to skate hard against the Thunderbolts.  We're a couple of men short, but Dan Vincent subs in for us, and we have a great first period.  Fast paced hockey throughout, with Demars making some amazing saves to take us into the first intermission tied.  

Then, the ref gives them a goal.  Now, I'm normaly not going to be one to complain TOO much about the refs, but this one was upsetting.  The Tbolts have a BLATANT hand pass (Beaupre didn't even have a stick in his hand) that the ref skated over to our bench, and laughed because he didn't call it because "he wanted to keep the play going."  However, it directly led to the Tbolts coming down the ice 5 seconds later and catching us all off guard because we expecte a whistle, and scored the first goal of the game.  Missing a call is one thing.  But coming over to us and making a joke about not making a call that leads directly to them scoring is pretty shitty in my opinion.

We shake it off, and Crisi gets a nice slapper from the blue line to get through all of the traffic and tie it up for us.  And the next 7 1/2 minutes of the second period are scoreless.

The 3rd period comes around, and we are all tied up.  About halfway through the 3rd, the Tbolts come alive and get 2 goals within 45 seconds of each other, and suddenly we are down 2 with less than 3 minutes left.  

We don't give up, though, and Alderman gets a nice pass on a 2 on 1 to get us within 1.  Then with 2 minutes left, Ruben takes a tripping call, and we have a PP.  Before we even get a chance to pull our goalie, Scary Terry Johnson ties it up with a pass from Alderman with 1:39 left!  

Unfortunately, we can't chip the puck out of our zone, and end up coughing it up, leading to the Tbolts getting the go-ahead goal with 15 seconds left.  A heartbreaker for sure!

But Demars is definitely player of the game for us.  He made some amazing saves and gave us a chance.  

Oh, and Blair tried to end my life with an errant shot. Just kidding.  But thank God for helmets.

Thunderbolts Game Write Up:

Tight game, Demars was the difference. Dude played out of his mind. T bolts up 3-1 but the Bullitts battle back and tie game late. Thunderbolts don't quit and score game winner with 15 seconds to spare. Thanks to McCaig and Gret for subbing and scoring most of our points!
