Broncos Game Write Up:

Diesels really took it to us in the 2nd period, opening up a 5-1 lead.  Furious comeback in the 3rd by the Broncos but came up short 6-4.  Special thanks to Easton Rea, Crisi, Filar, and Martina for subbing.

For the record...the 6th Diesels goal should not have counted, refs need to learn the rules!  See Section 6, Rule 631(b):

Diesels Game Write Up:

The Diesels squared off against a highly subbed Bronco team in week 6.  Both teams showed up to give it their all from the first drop of the puck.  The first period could have went either way but the Diesels came out of it ahead with a 1-0 lead off the stick of  Rich Lauth.  The Broncos came out bucking in the 2nd and tied it up 1-1 just over a minute into the period.  This sparked the Diesels drop a gear and hit the gas.  They go on a scoring spree and tally 4 straight goals from Zalewski, Aben, Radl and Lauth before the second period comes to a close.  Unfortunately, the Diesels layed the seat back a notch or two in the thrid.  Broncos come out with a rally of their own picking up two more by mid period making it 5-3.  With 3 minutes left to play, Joe "The Magician" Zalewski scores one for the highlight reel.  He gives it the ole "pop and tap" - puck lands on top of net, Joe pops it up toward the front of the net and keeps his blade below the bar and taps it in mid-air.  It was quite amazing to see.  This was enough to put the game out of reach but the Broncos sneak one more in before the horn sounds to make it 6-4.  Fun game!
