SuperChiefs Game Write Up:

Another good game from the SuperChiefs, but the Marauders were able to pull ahead halfway through the 3rd period and we weren't able to mount a comeback.  Thank you to Brendan for subbing in net! SuperChiefs head into the bye 0-2 but will look to end the losing streak in a couple of weeks.

Marauders Game Write Up:

Two legendary franchises are going head-to-head in this matchup. Shocking to see this game in the 4pm time slot, the FHL must not care about ratings anymore. This heavyweight bout needs to be in the prime-time slot.

Three subs for the Raud Squad in this game. Still no sign of the Robillard brothers this season, I heard it was extremely windy at Burning Man this year so they may have blown away. I’ve asked Terry to put together a search party. Gret and Margitan are in for them. Chris Colarusso is out as well. Yes, that is the same Christopher Colarusso who missed the birth of his first-born child just so he could put a beat down on the Marauders in the playoffs last season. There must have been a very important maple syrup emergency somewhere in Canada that he needed to attend to. Ruben in for Russo

The Raud Squad came into this game hard and was determined to stay hard throughout the contest. ACO did a great job getting us started off right by catching a tough pass and scoring one in the first minute. Joe Z joined the party shortly after by causing a turnover and burying one for himself. Welcome back to the Raud Squad Joe. Chris Vincent manages to squeak one past killer before the end of the first. Rauders up 2-1 after 1.

In the second, both teams trade a pair of goals. Soz gets his first FHL goal and Joe Z adds his second of the game. Chris Vinny “Lacavalier” completes his hat trick. Rauders 4-3 after 2.

In the third the Raud Squad comes hard again looking to finish the process. Joe Z completes the hat trick, and ACO ices the game with an MT net goal off an assist from Killer. Late goal from the Chiefs makes the final 6-4 Raud Squad. The golden can POG goes to Kill Caldwell for the W and the assist on the final goal. Huge thanks to the subs for helping us out.

Three quick notes:

1.       Need to clean up our koozie game boys. Lots of kids and families lurking around after our games.

2.       We have all fallen victims at some point where we forget to bring a cooler, so we bring in the cases and throw the ice on top. This usually leads to a big wet mess in the middle of the locker room floor. Shout out to Chet for grabbing the mop and cleaning up the room 5 minutes before puck drop. He then went out and skated for 30 minutes and got the W.

3.       Great turn out at Trina’s after the game. Great to be back and see everyone out.
