Aerostars Game Write Up:

Knock-out round of the FHL playoffs...SuperChiefs v.  Aerostars, poised to be an instant FHL Classic and did it deliver.  

First period both teams feeling each other out with opportunities on both sides but nothing gets past the tenders as we play to an 0-0 tie.  

2nd period was all Chiefs...they get their first goal on what looked more like a college basketball play than a hockey play.  The puck ends up in the air batted around a few times and somehow lands on a Chief stick in the crease for the first goal. Midway through the 2nd Riley scores on what looked like a pass that somehow found its way into the back of the net.  Chiefs add a third late in the 2nd on a Lefevre shot from the point.  

10 minutes left of the Aerostar season...We need to dominate this third or we are going home.  We came out aggressive in the 3rd and the Chiefs came out with some physicality.  A penalty on the Chiefs gives us a man advantage and Vinny doesn't disappoint with a nice backhand goal.  5 minutes left in the game Vinny strikes again on a feed out front from Austin.  Vinny outworks the SCs and buries the goal.  With a little under two minutes left in the 3rd Chiefs take an untimely penalty.  We load up the lines and pull the goalie hoping to take advantage of the 6 on 4.  We throw everything at Kirchiver but he holds strong and the SCs clear the puck with only a few ticks left to ice the game.  

What a game...we finished on the wrong side of the scoreboard...probably put ourselves in too big of a hole in the 3rd to climb back from. 

We didn't hit our goal this season of bringing home the hardware but it's been a pleasure repping this team.  Great group of guys, an outstanding locker room.  

Thank you guys for making my job easier and working your tails off every game.

SuperChiefs Game Write Up:

Wild Elite 8 game played last night!  0-0 tie after the 1st period as both teams were feeling each other out. 2nd period we capitalized on some good bounces, and were able to jump out to a 3-0 lead.  Heading into the 3rd we knew the Aerostars were going to play like their season was on the line and boy did they ever! We took 3 penalties and they came back within 1.  Without incredible goaltending with under 3 minutes left this game could of been very different.  Excited to move on to the Frozen Four!  Rest up today, and get back at it on Wednesday!
