Tough battle between the Tbolts and the Broncos. That team has a lot of speed!  Collette gets injured on the first shift, hope all is well Zach! Demars steps in, plays outstanding. Should be a special shoutout to the T-bolts rep for allowing a full point and tier upgrade in net! Back and forth battle, the line of Chet, Radomski and Gates proves to be too much with great puck possession in the Broncos zone. Gates tallies 4 with Chet and Ryan Zack adding assists on all the goals! Robson adds a goal with snipe off the post beating Demars clean! Good, tough gritty win avenging an earlier loss against the tough Broncos team!

Well first game back after the break and a bye, the Broncos are up against the high-flying Thunderbolts. It ended up also being my first game after a few months so needless to say, the struggle was real. Right off the opening faceoff the puck must have stayed in the Broncos defensive zone for a good 90 seconds. During which Broncos goalie Cholette ended up getting hurt and the prognosis isn't good. The TBolts went up 1-0 pretty quickly and carried the play the remainder of the first period. Fortunately for us, the only goalie available was DeMars and he really kept us in this game. He helped us ride out the first period and the Broncos came into the 2nd period a completely different team and ended up taking a 3-1 lead. The TBolts got one late in the 2nd to go into the 3rd with the Broncos leading 3-2. Start of the 3rd was similar to the 2nd, Broncos came out scoring and went up 4-2. Only for the TBolts to then put their foot on the gas and score 3 unanswered to in 5-4. It was great to be back in the FHL! Tough loss and even tougher loss knowing Zach is most likely out long term. But drank beers in his honor both in the locker room and at Trina's with the Marauders!
