Turns out experience beats youth—or maybe the Windstars’ team rep is more important than previously thought.
With yours truly absent, the league’s oldest team taught its second-youngest a few lessons, as the Model T’s rolled to an 8–3 win. Ryan Pearson led the limited Windstars offense with a goal and two assists, but there isn’t much else worth revisiting here.
We’ll call it a learning experience and never speak of it again.

Full squad, exactly as drafted — the Model Ts brought urgency from the opening puck drop and never let up. Great team win. We were sharp both with and without the puck and cashed in on our chances when it mattered. Having that 10th skater back in the lineup made a noticeable difference from last week. Rumor has it we'll be at full strength again next week too. (Uh-ohhhh...)
Soz and Aco each finished with 5 assists. Soz doesn't lose draws, creates so many extra opportunities because of it. Mack, Chris Deroache, and Aco each had a pair of goals. Dennis got his first of the season as well. Rookie Jordan Guske notched his first FHL goal of his young career — many more to come. Grab as many of his rookie cards as you can while you still can & send them to PSA!
Ruben, Brent, Hajec returned to the lineup this week. Great to see those gritty defenders on the ice.
Tommy B was a workhorse tonight. Dennis as well. Mack was snipping early and often. Mack vs Gorski for hardest shot in the league will be headliner for the FHL All Star Game Skills Competition this Christmas. (Get your radar guns out!)
Killer was the 3x champion goaltender tonight. Bailed us out in big moments. Great start to the season by Killer, POG.
We’re going to continue to get better every week. Legs are coming back. Special group of guys in the locker room this year. Lot of past champions that know the small things it takes to win a championship.
