This past Monday’s Elite 8 games were very competitive with the SuperChiefs and Cobras advancingGreat Season by the Edsels and Galaxies.
Marauders advanced in the first game with some great goaltending by Kevin “Killer” Caldwell and the Bullitts scored two quick late 2nd period goals to outlast the hard charging Mustangs. Bravo to the Thunderbolts and Mustangs on great seasons as well.
Final Four Games were absolute dandy’s this past Thursday night at the DISC.
Bravo to the Thunderbolts and Mustangs on great seasons as well.First game at 4:30PM:
The SuperChiefs battled the Cobras in this tilt, with the Cobras jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd Period. The Blake-ster with “two” big apples on new comer Nick Roberts goal and Jake’s Geno. Zach Cholette played out of his mind till the Chiefs broke his armor on a power play late in the 2nd period by rookie “Jacko” Tobiczyk. Both teams exchanged chances until late when the SuperChiefs pulled their goalie Malbin (who played great in his own right) and the Cobra-kai capitalized on an empty netter by Mike Ehred to seal it.
Congratulation to the SuperChiefs on another great season with Chris Vincent as the Reggie Dunlop of the squad.
Second game at 5:30PM:
The Marauders played the Bullitts in another do or die game. The Marauders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 2nd period with rebound goals by Joe Z. and ACO. Till this point both netminders we playin’ fabulously. Sub Derrick Cannon for the Bullitts and Kevin “Killer” Caldwell for the Raud Squad. The Marauders even killed off a 6-minute power play when Wayne “Chet” ski was clipped with a high stick. Chet was pissed, but okay thankfully and returned to the ice, with a cut above his left eye, to score a Bullitt goal midway thru the 3rd period, cutting the deficit to 2-1. The Marauders D limited the Bullitts pressure and Ryan “Soz” nitza scored an empty netter to complete the Raud Squad victory at 3-1.
Congratulations to the Bullitts on a fabulous season under Rep “Big” Jay Adams.
